Thank you for taking the time to stop by … I appreciate your visit.
In a past life I was a dietitian, schooled at UW Madison where I was lucky enough to be a dietitian with the football team … GO BADGERS! I also worked in corporate wellness and retirement wellness until I had my first child. Upon her arrival, I found my love for photography. Within a year of her birth, I took college courses in photography and opened my own photography business.
I stumbled upon sewing two years ago when wanting to make a heartfelt gift for a new nephew. My mom had taught me to sew a straight line on her 1960’s Singer when I was a teenager, but I hadn’t touched a sewing machine since. My mom and I worked together to create a basic quilted baby blanket. It’s then I caught the sewing bug. Within a week, I ordered my own machine. Between blogs, patterns and YouTube, I taught myself to sew. I started with a few bags, which quickly turned into sewing clothes.
My goal is to eventually have a [mostly] handmade wardrobe for my kids and myself. I also am taking classes and working toward developing my own pattern line. Exciting things to come!
